Eva's Apple

"Eve's Apple" - An apple that brings knowledge. Knowledge about the female body and soul.

I always draw my impressions, no matter what I draw.

A stylized bitten apple in the center of which a female body is written with rough strokes of a palette knife.

The combination of the divine, the abstract (the ornament on the skin of the apple) and the geometric (the shadow of the apple is depicted in straight lines) and the raw sensual (the female torso) is a contradiction and a mystery. Two profiles bent down to solve this riddle.

 

The painting is made with acrylic paints with gilding elements on cardboard measuring 60 x 60 inches. Handmade frame
