Recomposition No. 24 (Reflections of Abstraction)

Recomposition No. 24, also titled 'Reflections of Abstraction,' is a unique digital painting inspired by the Bauhaus movement. It intricately explores the interplay between technology, geometry, and abstraction.

The artwork is based on a photograph of the One World Trade Center, which serves as a canvas for layered abstract geometries that fuse geometric shapes and vibrant colors in a harmonious dance or a sense of energy and motion. This composition effectively mirrors urban landscapes' delicate equilibrium between structure and chaos.

Sharp angles and overlapping forms create a sense of depth, inviting the viewer to explore the artwork through its abstract elements. Vivid primary colors juxtaposed with muted tones enhance texture and tension within the geometric forms. The interplay of light and shadow adds complexity, highlighting contrasting elements—light versus dark and order versus disorder—mirroring the balance between harmony and disruption.

My inspiration for this work stems from significant movements in art history, such as constructivism, as seen in the works of El Lissitzky and Aleksandr Rodchenko. The movement's focus on geometric shapes and a limited color palette, reflecting modernity, enriches the emotional landscape of the work. Simultaneously, influences from Cubism, led by Picasso and Braque, resonate in this contemporary artwork, as architectural elements are abstracted into small fragments, and fragmented objects emphasize multiple perspectives.

As a digital artist, I am committed to pushing the boundaries of tradition. Through my work, I invite viewers to appreciate the beauty found in structure and chaos. By doing so, I want to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for the patterns that shape our lives.
