KLAUS WIECHENTHALER
is a collaborative art project that emerges from the deliberate dialogue between two distinct artistic media. In this joint practice, glass sculpture and figurative painting meet on equal terms, developing a new and independent visual and formal language. The boundaries between painting and sculpture dissolve: glass expands space through light reflection and refraction, while painting introduces corporeality, narrative, and emotional depth. The works move within a field of tension between transparency, condensation, and abstraction, combining traditional craftsmanship with a contemporary vision. Each work stands on its own and carries a clear, unmistakable artistic signature.
We are the artist duo Peter Wiechenthaler and Helena B. Klaus. Alongside our individual artistic practices, we develop a shared project that originates from the conscious exchange between two different media. Each of our works remains independent and reflects a distinct artistic language.
Peter Wiechenthaler lives and works as a glass artist in Brixen (South Tyrol, Italy). His sculptures are created from layered, carefully bonded, elaborately ground, and polished sheets of glass, forming a unique symbiosis between glass and nature. His reduced, flowing formal language places material, light, and precision at the center of his practice. This technique produces fascinating light refractions, spatial depth, and an almost organic transparency. Each sculpture is a unique piece and a concentrated exploration of form, space, and the essence of light.

Helena B. Klaus lives and works as an artist in Bielefeld, Germany. Her figurative paintings combine realistic precision with a high emotional intensity. The figures appear present yet vulnerable—often captured in moments of inner movement or quiet reflection. Her work is characterized by sensitive use of color, precise observation, and a strong psychological depth that establishes an immediate connection between viewer and image.
