EVIDENCE is a mixed-media installation developed from the Dragon Series, an investigation into psychological tension, resistance, fear, adaptation and transformation.
Borrowing from investigative and forensic environments, the project becomes a device for reading trauma, defense and survival: an imaginary archive of emotional evidence made of reports, surveillance forms, custody records, maps, call logs, retention orders... Yet the subject of the investigation is not a crime, but the invisible architecture of the mind and its inner states.
As the investigation develops, however, the archive begins to operate as though a crime may have occurred. Individual case files identify possible weapons, motives, suspects and, at times, a potential culprit. The weapons are rarely physical: judgment, silence, misunderstanding, imposed patterns, social pressure, lack of listening, or forms of harm turned inward. The crime remains hypothetical, but its effects are treated as evidence.
Each Dragon functions as a piece of evidence and as the point around which a possible case is constructed. Rather than mythical creatures, they become manifestations of internal obstacles, carrying traces of what may have acted upon them — or of what they may have inflicted upon themselves.
The evidence accumulates, but it does not solve the case, nor produce a final report. Suspicions may be recorded and responsibility provisionally assigned, but no conclusion is definitive. EVIDENCE becomes an inner bureau of unsolved states: a place where what is wounded, restrained, distant, vigilant or misaligned is not erased, but held on record.
EVIDENCE currently includes ten interconnected works from the Dragon Series: Freestyle, Misaligned, Pivot, Keep Your Distance, Unreleased, Sheep Don’t Sleep, Wrecked, True North Act II | Alignment, Ignite and As Required, presented as visual evidence within an ongoing psychological investigation.
