This oil painting continues with the exploration of family relationships. I wanted the apples to resemble a family fight between siblings where one is left abandoned whilst the other group together as an opposition. The question of bullying within families is a common one even though families try to pretend to the outside world that there is harmony. The reality is often fraught with strife resulting from financial matters, unspoken hurts, grudges, bitterness and jealousy. I believe this is something that runs across all nationalities and religions.
