Actividad:

Painter, draftsman, sculptor, construction creator, and professor. In 1992, he completed his Bachelor Painting at the Puerto Rico School of Visual Arts and Design (EAPD, by its Spanish acronym) and coursed graduate studies at SCAD, Savannah College of Art and Design, GA, also at Center for Advanced Studies of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, San Juan PR. He took courses in ceramics, drawing, and painting in the League of Art Students, and in ceramics at Casa Candina. He is currently engaged in his artwork  while teaching painting courses at the EAP, where he also directs the Painting Department. He has held several individual exhibitions and countless collectives. Highlighted among the awards he has received is the Sole Acquisition Prize at the Puerto Rico Museum of Contemporary Art’s VI National Plastic Arts Show in 2005. In 2002, two of his mural proposals, Esporas (Spores) and Mi Río Piedras (My Río Piedras), were selected by the Public Art Project of the Tren Urbano de Puerto Rico of the government of Puerto Rico. His works have an extremely organic character and display an ample repertoire of shapes, elements, and fantastic characters through which the artist comments on social and political issues. His artworks are mostly paintings, mix media and drawings in relation to other media.
