Born in 1981 in Germany, Melanie Stein's understanding of form, proportion, and space was significantly shaped by her studies in art and architecture at the renowned Bauhaus University Weimar. After graduating, she worked for several years in architectural offices in Weimar and Koblenz. These years honed her eye for structure, symmetry, and balance—elements that continue to form the framework of her artistic work.

 

Since 2013, she has worked as a freelance architect and artist, making Istria her home base in 2015. After many years in architectural practice, she now devotes herself almost exclusively to fine art.
