The author Věra Kosová was born in 1993 in small the
district town of Svitavy, where currently also lives and works.
From childhood, she gravitated towards creative activities, short
she attended an art club for a while, but with the arrival of studies
at the high school of economics she stopped her artistic
development completely. The study of economics,
accounting and tax laws not giving to her what she expected and
she began to fall into depression. Despite her distaste for and lack
of interest in this field, she successfully passed the exam and
subsequently started working in the shop. However, she did not
find fulfillment even there, depressions were worsened and her
medicine for them became a bottle (respectively bottles) of
alcohol. Very quickly she fell into a strong addiction and after
several drunken years and an abstinence collapse, she found
herself in at the hands of psychiatrists. Paradoxically, it was
psychiatry that became her art school. The treatment included art
therapy, during which she remembered her dreams and her
passion. Her guide and art guru became the art therapist who
pushed her along and began to develop her talent again. After
several successful and unsuccessful exhibitions in her hometown
and its surroundings, with her work she suddenly found herself
also in Prague. But she recorded greater success abroad, especially
in Belgium and Italy. She has been awarded several times by the
Bruxelles Art Vue Foundation for artistic merit and her paintings
are still present in their catalogs and also in one of their art
albums.
She also took home artistic awards from Italy, e.g. International
Prize Pegasus for the Arts, curated by Francesco Saverio Russo
and Salvatore Russoa and her paintings became part of the artist
album Contemporary Celebrity Masters Vol. III. Recently,
her work also appeared in the international magazine Artist Close
Up #10 and one of her works is placed on the wall of the outdoor
gallery in her hometown among other local artists.
