Manu (b. 1978, Romania) - a multidisciplinary artist, dedicated to redefining the relationship between fine art and craftsmanship. Rooted in early studies of Orthodox iconography and still life painting during Romania’s communist period. My practice evolved into a distinctive mixed-media language that combines painting, collage, and sustainable materials such as recycled cardboard, natural fibers, and gold leaf. Inspired by Constantin Brâncuși’s sculptural purity, Michelangelo’s sense of form, and the organic harmony of nature, my work celebrates the tactile essence of craft. Each piece is a dialogue between permanence and fragility—between the timeless gestures of the hand and the modern search for meaning. Through my creations, I invite the viewer to rediscover beauty, balance, and the art of life.
