the legendary olive tree
I am inspired by nature, but also by the spiritual heritage of humanity, these being inextricably linked.
The rocky and dry gorge of Petra (in Jordan) offers very harsh conditions for life. And yet there is a hundred-year-old olive tree there. Its roots are embedded in dry stone.
His endurance can be considered a miracle of nature. It is linked to Bedouin legends, because olives have played an important role in the entire history of the populations of that area.
