What We Take With Us

What We Take With Us is a diptych built from fragments of places, people, objects, animals and images. I construct the work by cutting, rearranging and layering found printed materials, then interrupting the collage with painted passages. Different times, spaces and visual languages meet within one imagined landscape: interiors open onto gardens, figures from different worlds sit beside animals, food, architecture and everyday objects. The density of the composition reflects the way experience accumulates through encounters, memories, desires and small details that stay with us. Rather than reconstructing one specific place or story, I create a space where fragments can coexist and form new relationships. The work explores what we carry through life: not only physical things, but also images, emotions, memories and traces of places and people.
