Post-consumerism is a work created from the original web invoices issued to customers in company I work as a reminder of how much we spend and what remains behind that mindless consumption. We order, use, and throw away, but a pile of bills stays somewhere in our home. I have just made a family of 3 pillars as a synonym for parent and child consumption... The work is made of paper and a metal rod on which all those invoices are stuck. Later, some papers were burned, some concreted, painted, mistreated in different ways. And pillars persist, so heavy, with their heads bowed, senseless, forgotten, discarded without any indication of any joy and happiness that each purchase caused in consumers. Well, it would be nice to think about whether we really need everything that is offered in this consumer oriented society.
