I am interested in figurative Realism contemporary art. I think my work reflects a personal journey through realism. There is a strong influence from the Spanish and Italian Baroque period. Old masters that I love and are always present in my work, as I try to use timeless classical painting techniques. Taking further influence from mass culture and the contemporary art scene, I take anything visual around me and turns into something personal, despite its origins. Generally working with models though some times invented visions from vernacular feelings. My creative process takes substance from personal worlds that can be seen in my artwork.

I work with my own photographs as a reference, my paintings bridge the gap between painting and photography but always maintaining my own personal painting style, I try to give more personal information to the image, allways trying not to be classified as photorealism or any other ism, quite hard in the society now a days.

The empty spaces around main figures gives the sensation of power, taking the viewer on a personal journey which enables them to gain more from the painting by seeing it as more than simply a superficial picture.

My aim is not to corrupt the true and transcendental aesthetic experience of my artworks. Creating polymorphous paradigms of multicultural values.

Also my paintings are cultural allegories that aim to reflect my view of the world around me. My conceptual process begins by selecting themes and elements of contemporary life such as media culture, globalization, etc. Which seem important and interesting to me. I then combine and expand those components into completely ridiculous scenes that depict a fictitious near-future or alternate reality.

I attempt to balance the utter implausibility of these scenes by painting them as convincingly as I can. I have, over time, developed these images into several reoccurring motifs that continue to describe more fully a world that reflects (and develops parallel to) the ‘real world.’ My hope is that by employing this editorial and often satirical method of expression, rather than using a more journalistic approach, I might communicate my observations and feelings about our modern existente of  human condition.
