Lilach Livne is an independent performing artist and a choreographer. She studied choreography at the School for New Dance Development (SNDO), Amsterdam and graduated from Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD), Salzburg. On 2012 she received a scholarship as a DanceWEB member at the Impulstanz Festival in Vienna – a program which support young artists, a lab for artists for 5 weeks. Nowadays she is a student of Philosophy and Gender Studies in Tel Aviv University and beside that she is developing her research-performance "Hora for holders" which deals with the choreography of the ego, a research to find new ways to enter the body and new models of thoughts. She uses choreography as a tool to discover new ways to 'think life' and the structures in it. Lilach is interested in how a social experiments can be a performance, connections between art and technology and the wish to create mutations in reality. Lilach received scholarships from "Pais – Isreal Lottery Council for culture and art" and from "Israel-America Foundation", for studying abroad and support of young artists. Lilach believes that art is an Emergency.
