The Weight We Share

The Weight We Share depicts two faceless figures whose bodies overlap until their individual boundaries become uncertain.

Their closeness suggests intimacy, but also dependency, vulnerability and the burdens that pass between people. Against the distressed pale surface, the dark figures become almost sculptural. Texture is used not simply as surface decoration but as a record of accumulation of experiences, relationships and traces that remain.

The work asks whether a burden becomes lighter when it is shared, or simply becomes something two people learn to carry together.
