Marta Nogueira was born in Lisbon in 1972 and resides there. She majored in Business Communication at Instituto Superior de Comunicação Empresarial (ISCEM) and worked as a copywriter for 14 years. She has a Masters Degree in Linguistics - Textual Criticism from Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa (FLUL), where she developed her thesis titled "Textual Criticism and Dramatic Acting" about the role of the actor as author of the text she imterprets. A lover of arts in general, it is in writing she always found her main call. But she experiments with other arts as well, such as photography, acting, playwriting and handicrafts. She published a few articles, a short-story and poems in collected works. She was selected for the 2016 "One-Minute Play Festival" in Lisbon, with the plays "The Actor Who Thought Himself Useless" and "The Road". She was chosen to participate at Sintra's Photography Award 2017 Exhibition with the photograph entitled "Fallen Angel". She was a literay and film critic for the blog D'Magia. She was also casted for several academic short movies as an actress. She is currently developing the sculpture concept of Miniature Paper Kiosks, working on a ficcional novel and is a volunteer reader of audio books for the visualy impared at Biblioteca Nacional in Lisbon.
