•Eastern wisdom says:”Each person has two sides. Sometimes they compete...”.Apparently, the second side is one's Ego! Mask…There is some unsolved mystery...The mystery of being,the mystery of human-being...Why do people wear a mask?Does it help to conceal their second unsightly essence?May be someone does not want to display their good deeds and prefers to keep it unseen...There are those who prefer to stay behind the scenes,not showing off and make a parade of own deeds. One must admit that in different situations different facets of a person's nature appears.Sometimes,someone is forced to wear a mask and not only because of the current Covid 19 pandemic...After all,viruses also vary...One has to beware of malicious intent,backstabbing or an evil eye.One who feels and wants to be protected needs to weak a mask(figuratively)using it for protection like an armor.There are others who have to put on a mask so that he/she does not to look like a "black sheep" among the crowd...In order to be respected in a society with its unwavering values.The laws of community in which he/she is destined to live makes one to act in an accordance.Have you ever wondered how different one can be?!Courteous with his/her superiors and harsh with his/her subordinates...Human being acts differently...One is never ready for betrayal, treason or unfaithful actions.One gets tormented facing such turns…Compare the same person in two different situations.Imagine someone bending over to the cradle of a trustingly smiling baby and suddenly visualize the same person’s face facing an enemy who is not respecting the territorial integrity of his/her homeland. Behind the mask one hides the pain of loss,the bitterness of defeat but most importantly,one continuous to live hiding his/her failures with a smile.Rising again and again and finally finding courage to carry on no matter what it takes!Is not this a polysemy?The many-sidedness of the masks the essence of man in different hypostases of his existence, survival,defeat and victory in this multidimensional and many-sided World.
