Incandescence

This work came into being as I was about to turn 31, after a year of profound inner transformation. A year during which I learned to see myself in a new light, to embrace both my strengths and my vulnerabilities, and to let a more authentic version of myself emerge. That moment when, after weathering doubt and self-questioning, a light begins to shine. At first a subtle light, then growing ever brighter—the radiance of self-love.

I chose pink, a color I rarely use with such intensity. Yet it felt like the obvious choice. It symbolizes the love, gentleness, and femininity that I now allow myself to fully embody. Long kept hidden, these facets now take their place with confidence. The orange and purplish hues reflect the fire of this metamorphosis. They evoke emotions, moments of self-reflection, wounds transformed into strength, and that light that is born when we accept ourselves as we are.

The thousands of dots that make up the work remind us that change is never achieved in a single moment. It is made up of an infinite number of small steps, moments of realization, and choices that, together, shape a new story. Incandescent is an ode to self-love—a tribute to the woman I am becoming, to gentleness that does not exclude strength, and to that inner light that grows when we finally dare to fully embrace ourselves.
