“Inner Forest”, a video and sound installation, is the culmination of an artistic journey at the intersection of filmmaking and the integral practice of movement and embodiment. It is composed of three moving-image panels displayed side by side, creating an immersive visual triptych. Through the interplay of body, landscape and microscopic details, the work invites viewers into a poetic exploration of the connection between human beings and the natural world. The installation moves between different scales of perception: the body as an intimate ecosystem, the body as a place of sensory experience, and the human figure as a small element within vast landscapes.
The work rests on a subtle shift of perception: instead of approaching ecology as something external, it suggests that the body itself can be experienced as a living territory. Skin is no longer merely a biological boundary but becomes a landscape, carrying traces, transformations and vulnerabilities that resonate with those of the environment. This quiet displacement invites viewers to reconsider where the boundary between self and world actually lies. Each scale of observation — from the micro to the macro — reveals a complementary facet of the living. Our existence is always interwoven within a vaster network — at once intimate, perceptual, and cosmic.
By working at the boundary between the visible and the invisible, I seek to evoke humanity’s inalienable incorporation into nature. By exploring the links between nature and the body — in stillness as well as in movement — Inner Forest becomes a space for reconnection, an invitation to celebrate our own inner nature. This project offers a return to the roots of our existence, a pause amid the turbulence that surrounds us, and serves as a call to contemplation, slowness, and mindfulness — to restore value to what is so often overlooked.
