I often return to a line by Luis de Góngora:
“Naturalness: What poverty of spirit.

It sounds harsh, but for me it captures something essential this urge to look beyond the obvious, the simple, the comfortable.

I don’t create because I want to depict the world as it is. I create because I want to explore the moments when the world stops making sense… and becomes something more.

My path to art wasn’t linear. I began with graphic design and video editing in Vorarlberg, and I still feel those disciplines inside everything I do the precision of design, the timing of film, the layering of images.

My sketchbooks from trips to Istanbul, Florence, Rome, and elsewhere are full of restless lines, half thoughts, and questions.

My work is an attempt to understand these fractures: between body and space, time and movement, certainty and doubt.

I try to expose the edges where things stop fitting neatly together. That instability isn’t a flaw it’s the pulse of the work. It’s where I feel most awake.

I spent years talking with artists, teaching, and obsessively reading art and film history. Somewhere between all that, I realized that the thing I always returned to the thing that kept pulling at me was the act of creating.

The act of finding beauty and in fact let beauty find you.
