Wakili Jennifer Dikum better known by her stage name WAKILI was born in 13th November,1995 in Kaduna state,Nigeria. To Hon & Mrs Aliyu Anthony Wakili. She attended Baptist High School and she is currently a final year student of Ghana Technology university College(GTUC). Wakili is a singer,songwriter,performer and recording artist. She popularly known for fusing Hausa language in her songs. Wakili started music at the age of 14 in the church choir,but started her career professionally in 2015, she has since then released several singles including Afurumginanya, shukubambam,Tattoo and He knows. Her current Single Titled Walangolo which was produced by Datbeatgod was released in October 2016 and has since gained massive attention and airplay. Walangolo video was shot by Director Tee and was released in February 2017. Wakili is aiming at taking african music to the world through her music. She is highly inspired by Angelique Kidjo,Yvonne Chakachaka,fela kuti,as these individuals have taken African music to the world. In 2016, she was nominated for Best Female Artist and Discovery of the year at the Maiden Edition of the Hausa Music Awards(HMA16) in Accra, Ghana. Wakili is currently signed to Sugar Music Africa which based in Ghana.
