« Prism of Memory »
Prism of Memory is an abstract work rich in emotional tension and visual complexity. Through the layering of translucent geometric forms and softly diffused colors, it evokes the way light refracts through a prism. The composition lacks a defined center or subject, yet an organic order emerges from the apparent chaos—much like how memories reassemble themselves in the mind.
Here, color functions not as decoration, but as an emotional language. Soft pinks, deep purples, cold blues, and shadowy greens collide and merge, forming layers of memory: some sharp, others vague; some radiant, others subdued. Each hue seems to represent a fragment of the past—an emotion, a fleeting thought, a lingering moment.
The overlapping shapes and transparency reflect the complex, nonlinear nature of memory. Memories shift, distort, and are reshaped over time. This painting visualizes that psychological experience: unstable, elusive, yet deeply meaningful. The viewer is invited to project their own narrative onto the canvas, finding resonance in the abstract—perhaps in a corner of color, a feeling they recognize but cannot name.
Prism of Memory does not seek to tell a specific story. Instead, it creates a space for reflection—a visual pause where one can explore the forgotten or repressed fragments of the self. It is not a mirror, but a prism: through it, we see not just the artwork, but the moments within ourselves that light, suddenly and fleetingly, reveals.
