Emiko Yoshida is a glass artist based in Okinawa, Japan. For more than twenty years, she has researched and developed a unique technique for firing botanical materials into glass without reducing them to ash, resulting in a patented process in Japan. Through this technique, she creates installations and sculptural works that explore the continuity of life and the passage of time.
