"The Coloured Soul"

The clay sculpture portrays the profile of a woman wearing a traditional Africain turban, painted in the colors of the Senegalese flag - green, yellow and red- enhanced with gold. Each layer of the turban tells a story - a lived experience, an inner strength built in silence but expessed with radiance. The engraved patterns evoke the richness of ancestral traditions and the complexity of her identity, shaped by many facets and intertwined experiences. The golden earring evokes continuity, the cycle of life and the pride of being. This work is an intimate declaration: that of a woman in full transformation, drawing from her origins the strength to reinvent herself.
