Interconnections

Interconnections is composed of fluid, branching strokes of Chinese ink, applied with traditional brush techniques that encourage spontaneity, precision, and organic flow. Working on handmade Xuan paper — a surface that reacts to pressure, humidity, and the slightest modulation of the wrist — the lines grow, diverge, and reconnect like living structures. The completed work is mounted through marouflage, stabilising the paper while keeping the vibratory softness of the ink’s diffusion.

The piece reflects my interest in systems that exist through circulation rather than isolation: networks of roots, synapses, mycelium, or vascular flows. Its reticulated form suggests a distributed intelligence, a mesh in which every branch relies on the others for balance. Through this work, I explore the invisible infrastructures of life and the inner logic that binds organisms together.
