Chenyao He (Eva), born in Shenzhen, China on November 19,2001. Chenyao is a contemporary artist who has learned and lived in New York and Los Angeles. She currently studies in The Cooper Union for art major in Manhattan, New York City. Chenyao is dominantly good at creating large-scale installations, performance art and video, working in the medium of plastic foam, wood, plastic, metal processing, etc. Her creative themes are mostly about the universe, time, birth and death, boundary, fireworks, performance, conflict, confrontation, balance, pull, insider and outsider, etc. The artist has always believed that the reality recognized is imagined. She believes the whole world is a game and everyone is Truman. Chenyao aims to create interesting plots, by identifying one’s role and properly playing the role. She focuses on how to recognize the virtual image in the virtual, and avoids generating an illusion in the imagination. Chenyao is always passionate about trying new things, striving to develop as an artist and continuing to excel.
