IL PAVONE is an artistic group founded in 2009 consisting of some artists who immediately looked for new audiovisual styles fusing fiction, video art and documentary. The production of the group was characterized by long periods of collective experimentation to integrating new media and new technologies. The filmography of IL PAVONE is composed by many works done on collaborations with musicans of classical and electronic music as the movie "Marvellous Winter"(2016) or the many music videos for the go-Dratta composer. Other works diametrically opposed in style were characterized by the search for new documentary styles as for the film "The Ghost Beach"(2013) shot in the suburbs of Palermo in Sicily. IL PAVONE often chooses exhibition space to show their work, as in the last exhibition in the INUMANI FESTIVAL (2016) where space merged with the installation of six videos made by group members artists: Emilio Orofino, Genny Petrotta, Anikò Gal, Sergio Minaldi, Andrea Di Gangi, Domenico Palmeri and Milena Catalano. IL PAVONE has devoted his work to exploring a cinematic sense of restlessness, looking for the roots of a lost primordial aesthetic to consolidate a new contemporary aesthetic sense. His refined talent for creating a dreamlike cinematographic narrative, ubiquitous, potent and cruel is particularly manifest in last feature film production LUX (2016).
