Nato a Firenze nel 1972, la sua vita si divide tra Prato, Firenze e l’Isola d’Elba, ed è proprio nel rapporto con il mare che trova forza e cresce la sua passione per la pittura e il disegno che lo contraddistinguono dall’infanzia. Il percorso che l’artista segue si esprime attraverso il suo legame con l’orizzonte, come se quest’ultimo fosse un traguardo ma non un limite, un elemento a cui tendere, per poi andare oltre verso un altro obiettivo. Matteo Marella scrive: «Inizia un nuovo percorso. Sono alla ricerca di un orizzonte di serenità. Cerco di aprire la finestra della vita su un paesaggio nuovo.»

Born in Florence in 1972, he spends his life in Prato, Florence and the Elba Island. The passion for paintings and drawing, that has distinguished him since his childhood, finds its strength and develops in his relation with the sea.
