La chute

Brigitte AMARGER - France

In the form of human rain, a cascade of slowly rotating silhouettes, gives us the impression that they are falling, in slow motion, into the void.

The bodies placed, on vertical lines, in positions that deny the center of gravity, by their unbalanced postures, evoke all the human fragility which inexorably tips into an infernal fall….

This installation encourages meditative contemplatio . It raises questions about our future, about the potential disappearance of the human species or about the loss of balance, the step forward which makes us fall but also move forward, provided we overcome failure. and get up.

Modular suspended installation, composed of human silhouettes from 3 to 10cm, in x-rays, paper, and tracing paper, laser cut and sewn on nylon thread.

A previous installation, in two parts, at Moulin des Muses, Breuillet, France, in 2021, can be watched on https://vimeo.com/660741960  (3.80 x 4.50 x 1.20m and 3.80 x 1.00 x .80m)
