Objects for an Ideal Home #1

Kasper Bergholt - Denmark

The ’Objects for an Ideal Home’ series of photos by Kasper Bergholt is inspired by a music album of that title released in 1999 by the Danish artist Opiate.

The title is close to ‘Objects for the Ideal Home’ — with a definite article instead of an indefinite one – which framed an exhibition at Serpentine Galleries, Kensington Gardens, London  in 1991 that examined the continued influence of visual language that originated in the Pop Art movement of the early 1960s. The exhibition was subtitled: ‘The Legacy of Pop Art’.

This photo is of a sea urchin collected at the northern most coasts of Denmark.
