Monster in the heart (from the series Scream for Me)
Monster in the heart belongs to my ongoing series Scream for Me, a body of work that confronts the quiet, invisible terror carried by ordinary people living through war. Through Monster of the heart, I give form to the silent terror of those living through war, while holding a mirror to our collective quietness. These portraits are a reminder that human vulnerability—whether experienced directly or observed from afar—demands more than silence.
The scream becomes a symbol: not of rage, but of powerlessness. When violence erupts and everyday life collapses, sometimes the only remaining act is to scream—into the air, into the void, into oneself. These portraits give that scream for me a role to transform.
