This artwork is a fusion of four distinct techniques: gouache paint, color pencils, graphite pencil, and thread.
- The upper left side is rendered with gouache paint, embellished with delicate threadwork.
- The lower left side is brought to life with the intricate detailing of color pencils, accented by thread.
- The lower left neck is sketched with graphite pencil, intricately intertwined with thread.
- The upper right side is adorned solely with thread in shades of black, white, and grey.
- The lower right side showcases the vibrant hues of red and orange thread.
- The lower right neck features a medley of thread colors including red, orange, yellow, white, and brown.
Noticeably, the left-hand side features sparse embroidery with thread, while the right-hand side is densely packed with thread. This contrast highlights the complexity and diversity within each individual.
Through this range of techniques, I sought to explore the layers that constitute a person, emphasizing the interconnectedness of humanity. Despite our differences, when stripped down, we all originate from the same fundamental essence. This artwork serves as a visual representation of the unity and shared humanity that transcends individuality.
