Locked In

Dan Podsobinski - United States of America

Photographic digital art on brushed aluminum

Size: 24 x 30 in.

Locked In contrasts a peering crane locked in on his prey below in the Tennessee River to the closed symmetrical gates of the Fort Loudoun Lock in the background.

The artwork contrasts wildlife with the leading lines and circular elements of a massive structure spanning over 4,000 ft (1,200 m) across the Tennessee River. This compilation of 5 photographs includes 1. the dam control apparatus serving as a comfortable perch for the hungry crane, 2. lock gates, 3. the massive lock gear mechanism, 4. churning water as the lock discharges, and 5. the lock name. All photographs are from within the security perimeter of the dam and lock compound.

Other sizes available: 30 x 45 in aluminum,  48 x 60, and 60 x 90 (unframed) in canvas
