Carmen Kolcsar (b. 1979) is an emerging Romanian painter, focusing the most on details and metaphors that may take some time to be discovered but which are always pointing (in a way or another) at life. 

Because the entire work of the artist celebrates, in a way or another, the most valuable gift ever received by human beings: Life. There is, of course, a sadness that may be felt in each and every painting (though completely inexplicable in some cases). But just because there is no perfect gift, and so is life. 

All the paintings are on canvas and there is no particular need for framing. There isn't too much attention paid to the size, but there is a preference for medium size, as it seems to be the most suitable for hiding details and clues.Most of the paintings are in acrylics. Tempera and, rarely, oil are also used. A variety of tools and mediums are used in order to create sculptural paintings. 
Trivial clay, polymeric clay, mediums for volume, Schlagmetal, copper or silver gilding are only some of them.
