BIOGRAFIA

Clara Fantini, genovese di nascita, si è formata artisticamente  a Roma presso l’Istituto Statale  d’Arte Applicata.

Dal 1985 vive e lavora a Kavala (Grecia) e dal 1992 ha esposto i suoi lavori in diverse mostre personali e collettive in tutta la Macedonia greca (Kavala, Xanthi, Salonicco).

Nel 2011, in occasione del 150° Anniversario dell’Unita` d’Italia, ha donato all’Ambasciata d’Italia in  Atene - durante il mandato dell’ Ambasciatore dott. Trupiano - il quadro ‘’Noi’’  presentato nella sede della medesima Ambasciata in occasione della cerimonia del 2 giugno.

Nello stesso anno ha partecipato all’evento: "Padiglione Italia nel Mondo"- Biennale di Venezia 2011 dopo essere  stata selezionata dalla Commissione giudicatrice presieduta dal prof.Vittorio Sgarbi, con un’installazione denominata "Insieme", opera che  è rimasta esposta dal 4 giugno al 27 novembre 2011 (periodo di durata della Biennale)  nella Sala Savinio dell’Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Salonicco ed è stata inserita nel catalogo del Padiglione Italia nel Mondo “Lo stato dell’Arte-State of the Arts” a cura di Vittorio Sgarbi & Francesca Valente.

Nel marzo 2013,  l’installazione è stata donata - con una cerimonia ufficiale - alla Prefettura di Kavala e attualmente ne adorna una delle sale.

Sue  opere si trovano inoltre nella sede del Municipio, nella Biblioteca comunale, nel Conservatorio comunale di musica di Kavala, nonchè in collezioni private.

               La Fantini -inoltre- ha creato le opere  per  le etichette delle bottiglie del rinomato vino  “Magiko Vouno” di Nikos Lazaridis.

              Dal 2011  è  iscritta all’Albo degli artisti greci (Ε.Ε.Τ.Ε.).

 BIOGRAFY

Clara Fantini was born in Genova and studied in Rome in National Institution Applied Arts in the department of painting.

                In 1985 she moved to Kavala (Greece) and since1992 she has had numerous solo exhibitions in Macedonia and she has taken part in group exhibitions in Kavala, Xanthi and Thessaloniki.

                In 2011, to mark the 150^th  anniversary of the unification of Italy, she donated her work of art ‘’Noi’’ (we) to the Italian Embassy in Athens,  – during the term of office of the Ambassador Dr. Trupiano, which was exhibited in the embassy during the celebration of Democracy on 2^nd June 2011.        

In the same year, she participated  in Biennale di Venezia (the Venice Biennale)in "Padiglione Italia nel mondo"- 2011 (the Italian  Pavillion  in the world - Biennale Venice 2011) after she was selected by the Committee chaired by the art critic, Prof.Vittorio Sgarbi, for her work of art installation ‘’Insieme’’ (together).

“Insieme” was on  display from 4^th of June until 27^th of November (the entire period of Biennale), in the Hall Savinio in the Italian Educational  Institution of Thessaloniki. Moreover, “Insieme” was icluded in the catalogue of the Italian Pavillion in the world  “Lo stato dell’Arte-State of the Arts”, curator of which was Vittorio Sgarbi and  Francesca Valente.

In March in 2013, “Insieme” was donated in the Regional Unit of Kavala  where it graces one of her halls.  

Her works of art are still in Kavala, in the Town hall, in the Public Library, in the Public Conservatory as well as in private collections. 

In 2011, she created the labels on the famous Nikos Lazaridis’ red and white wines named «Magical Mountain» («Magiko Vouno»). 

Clara Fantini is member of the Chamber of Fine Arts in Greece(Ε.Ε.Τ.Ε).
