Daniel Poveda  is a pioneering artist with interest in public installations and video.

His  work has been exhibited  in solo and group exhibitions at galleries, festivals, and museums nationally and internationally.

Daniel  was born in Ibague Colombia in 1981, and studied at the Colombia´s National University, where he    received his BFA. Currently he is candidate for the MFA in Public Art and new artistic Strategies at the Bauhaus University.

Daniel has worked in his own art works since graduation and also, has worked collaboratively and individually on a variety of socially engaged interdisciplinary projects, working currently mostly between Colombia and Germany.

In 2008 he was granted with an scholarship at the International Visual Arts workshop in Contadora , Panama, by Jose Felix Llopis foundation and Complutense university of Madrid.

In 2011 received the Honour Mention at the 4^th  Young art contest . Espain Embassy- Colsanitas.

Daniel works and lives in Weimar-Germany.
