Worlalorm-Johnson Derek Worlalorm-Johnson was a Broadcast Journalist who became an Artist and an Illustrator. He worked with the likes of Multimedia Group's JoyNews on TV/Radio, Starr FM and MTG's Viasat 1 as News and Programmes Host, all in Accra, Ghana. Aside studying for Journalism from the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), he obtained a HDiploma in Fine Arts from the Ghanatta College of Art Design in Accra. 'Following one's passion is a beautiful and fulfilling gift to oneself', he says. Worlalorm became an Artist in 2013 and an Illustrator in 2017. He is vested in the use of Oils, Acrylics, Pens and Pencils. His illustrations are seen in some Ghanaian Language Children Books made possible by fhi360, GILLBT, USAID and the GES. His Styles include Pen on Canvas, Oils on Canvas, Acrylics on Canvas, Pencil/Charcoal on Paper/Canvas. He depicts works in Abstract, Surrealism Realism and more. EXHIBITIONS 1. International Art Contests (a) currently taking part in YICCA 2021 international Art Exhibition Contest. (b) Luxembourg Art Prize 2021 Exhibition Contest. (c) Art Talent Fair 2021, Italy. 2. 2018 - French Embassy group Exhibition for 17 finalists at Alliance Francais, Accra on the theme 'Ending Violence Against Women and Children'. (His Painting made from Ball Point Pen, 'End the Violence' came tops). 3. 2013 Joy Exhibitions at Joy 99.7 FM, Accra, Ghana. 4. 2019 Reflections at Accra City Hote, Accra (with Richmond Agamela) 5. 2017 - 'Resounding Talents' (with Divine Gbagbo) at Accra City Hotel in Accra, Ghana. Being inspired greatly by nature Worlalorm depicts children and women mostly in his works. Worlalorm-Johnson loves to draw, paint, read and listen to Jazz, Soft Rock, Classicals and Country.
