Fu often works with light as an element to juxtapose with sculptures in her practice, attempting to expose its other potential characteristics. Using different technical apparatuses as tools and objects to join light with materials, to create mysterious but yet poetic visual experiences; challenging viewers’ perception of seeing, and awaiting to be demystified by viewers. Her recent practice is inspired by the ancient gardens to contemporary architecture; in particular of their ideas in framing and capturing light, which both are dependent on the viewers’ positions and senses of surroundings.
