Gabriela Viridiana is a feminist artist who wants to subvert the dynamics that have been imposed on us on how to settle in a territory, in order to live from consciousness and not from violence. Her questions arise from empirical experiences, so as the trigger for his work, she builds with her hands a house where she lives in the mountains. For Viridiana the house is a living being, just like her and the mountain where they both live. The artist seeks to weave a sacred circle of respect between the mountain, the house and herself.

Inhabiting opens up questions that she tries to answer through her work: How to occupy a territory without violating it and colonizing it? How to listen to the earth? How to build a two-way nutritional relationship with nature? How to live like a bird? How to make the house not belong to one place and the place not belong to the house? How is the house mountain? How is the mountain home?

Weave and fibers are her main medium to manifest her thoughts, because to weave is to build reflexively, from the pause. Knitting allows her to evoke memories of the simplest houses, of the uterine sensations and of territories that are still moderately respected. Weaving also allows her to bring to reality objects and spaces that are not born yet on her home and that without existing they become inhabitants of it. For Viridiana weaving, stitch by stitch, brings immensity.
