Guillaume Mathivet build up to themselves an identity of the name of emptying " mozar "sprays paints and markers at the beginning of the 90s in the South France.

He develops in parallel on painting a singular paint leaving of the observation of the disappearance of his own graffiti by the municipal services.

By letting partially appear graffiti after he covered them by means of colored aplats, Guillaume creates tense reports revealing of a constant duality which, as he means, symptomatise the phenomenon of reaction often more visible than the action(share) of graffer (doing graffiti).

Guillaume Mathivet's œuvre is determined on it the ground contrasts. Layers of paint erase twice of graffiti suggested in some parts of the paint. He proceeds of one double gesture(movement) of creation / destruction which participates systematically in the elaboration of the œ uvre and remains to the completion of the picture(board).

bombes et marqueurs au début des années 90 dans le sud de la France.

Il développe en parallèle sur toile une peinture singulière partant de

l'observation de l'effacement de ses propres graffitis par les

services municipaux.

En laissant partiellement apparaître des graffitis après qu’il les

aient recouverts au moyen d’aplats colorés, Guillaume crée des

tensions révélatrices d’une dualité constante qui, comme il le

signifie, symptomatise un phénomène de réaction souvent plus visible

que l’action même de graffer.

L’œuvre de Guillaume Mathivet se détermine sur ce terrain de

contrastes. Les couches de peinture effacent le graffiti encore

suggéré en quelques points de la toile. Il procède d’un double geste

de création/destruction qui participe systématiquement à l’élaboration

de l’œuvre et subsiste jusque dans l’achèvement du tableau.
