I was born and raised in South Korea, a country with a long and storied ceramics history.  From an early age I became fascinated with our tradition and was encouraged by my family to pursue my artistic interests. I majored in Fine Arts in college and came to the United States to continue my education at NYU.  While earning an MA and MFA I focused on working with a variety of materials and large scale installations.  My focus was on knitting and weaving to produce intricate webs that cast exquisite shadows in the gallery.  

More recently I have been going into the studio as an escape from the pandemic that we are all dealing with.  There I have been experimenting with layering different types of clay to achieve a unique look.  My recent work has been shown in The Cape Cod Art Museum, Stockyard Gallery in Kansas City and Las Laguna Art Gallery.
