I was born in Belgrade, Serbia, 1973. I live in Milan, Italy, but I create throughout the world. I started to take pictures because my father and uncle were amateur photographers. Their photos surrounded me since I was a kid – they were everywhere, on the tables, in the closets, in the bookcases. I remember, when my father used to develop films at home from which we later made photographs. It was a wonderful experience, full of patience, uncertainty, joy, and excitement as the photograph we took slowly emerged. Probably unimaginable for the present generations. They encouraged me to use their cameras. It was inevitable to approach photography so I started taking pictures very soon with my father's camera, and later with my own. But in recent years, I use my mobile phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 10 plus) to capture everything that catches my eye while I'm on the move, everything that stirs emotions within me. Simply put, the mobile phone is always with me, and I can react instantly. Later, I analyze and use those photos. The biggest lesson I've learned from photography is that I can express my emotions through it. It was like a game, for years, but in 2023., when I started to confront myself with a story which involves me in an emotional way, the „In motion“ project, I realized that the camera was a powerful medium to observe and get in touch with the world and a tool to communicate my own view of the world around me in the most immediate way. I have recently put together a photo album with 36+1 photographs (symbolic as in old films when we were limited by the number of photographs we could take). I found inspiration in a documentary film on National Geographic about the photographer Steve McCurry and his homage to Kodachrome 64 film. I added a musical track to each photograph, expressing my emotions completely. I dedicated the book to my daughter, Sofia. I am a doctor by profession, but photography has been my passion for many years. Since 2023., I have started participating in photo contests (Roma, Milano, Venezia, Naples, Palermo, Catania, Trieste...) and publishing photos in specialized magazines (Docu Magazine, Artdoc Photography Magazine, Artist Closeup Contemporary Art Magazine..). Sono nato nel 1973. a Belgrado, Serbia. Vivo a Milano, Italia, ma creo in tutto il mondo. Ho iniziato a fotografare perché mio padre e mio zio erano fotografi amatoriali. Le loro foto mi circondavano fin da bambino: erano ovunque, sui tavoli, negli armadi, nelle librerie. Ricordo quando mio padre sviluppava pellicole a casa da cui poi ricavavamo fotografie. È stata un'esperienza meravigliosa, piena di pazienza, incertezza, gioia ed eccitazione mentre la fotografia che avevamo scattato emergeva lentamente. Probabilmente inimmaginabile per le generazioni attuali. Mi hanno incoraggiato a usare le loro macchine fotografiche. Era inevitabile avvicinarsi alla fotografia quindi ho iniziato molto presto a fotografare con la macchina fotografica di mio padre, e successivamente con la mia. Ma negli ultimi anni utilizzo il mio cellulare (Samsung Galaxy Note 10 plus) per catturare tutto ciò che attira la mia attenzione mentre sono in movimento, tutto ciò che suscita emozioni dentro di me. In poche parole, il cellulare è sempre con me e posso reagire immediatamente. Successivamente, analizzo e utilizzo quelle foto. La lezione più grande che ho imparato dalla fotografia è che attraverso di essa posso esprimere le mie emozioni. È stato come un gioco, per anni, ma nel 2023, quando ho iniziato a confrontarmi con una storia che mi coinvolgeva emotivamente, il progetto “In motion”, ho capito che la macchina fotografica era un potente mezzo per osservare e entrare in contatto con il mondo e uno strumento per comunicare nel modo più immediato la mia visione del mondo che mi circonda. Recentemente ho messo insieme un album fotografico con 36+1 fotografie (simbolico come nei vecchi film quando eravamo limitati dal numero di fotografie che potevamo scattare). Ho trovato ispirazione in un film documentario sul National Geographic sul fotografo Steve McCurry e il suo omaggio alla pellicola Kodachrome 64. Ad ogni fotografia ho aggiunto una traccia musicale, esprimendo completamente le mie emozioni. Ho dedicato il libro a mia figlia Sofia. Sono un medico di professione, ma la fotografia è la mia passione da molti anni. Dal 2023, ho iniziato a partecipare a concorsi fotografici (Roma, Milano, Venezia, Napoli, Palermo, Catania, Trieste...) e a pubblicare foto su riviste specializzate (Docu Magazine, Artdoc Photography Magazine, Artist Closeup Contemporary Art Magazine..).
