Information collector and abstract expressionist. I practice trusting expressive spontaneous movement followed by guided growth through painting (gouache and ink). Painting process begins with an explosion of fluid movement to lay the composition framework, creating information which is then processed, allowing the piece to speak and invite choices. Choices are made in agreement and nothing is forced. Unintentional actions or "mistakes" become opportunities for organic growth and are celebrated. The mind imagines rules as the piece grows and leaves a history of rules followed, broken, and changed all in an effort to create peaceful balance.
