Monika Anna Szczepańska is a polish designer and artist who currently lives and works in Milan. She graduated from The Institute of Design at the Polytechnic University of Koszalin and has continued her professional development within the field of design. 

    After many years of working in the architectural sector she decides to develop her own visual language, which unexpectedly turns out to become an art-related discipline.  

    First, she observes the structural properties of paper and then focuses her attention on a simple paper harmonica that later on becomes a departure point for her further works. She developed the idea of a flat surface which waved back-and-forth has a new geometrical capacity to form shapes different than a conventional circle.  As a result, she create a series of square fans through which she defines her artistic identity.

    At the beginning of 2020 she decide to start her own practice (maspartu.com) where she works on her hand-pleated panels.
