My journey as an artist began with an unconventional approach - I started out by dismantling and reconstructing objects, often by vandalizing them. Sometimes, I would even purchase new electronic devices only to dismantle and rearrange them in my own unique way. Even before I discovered the world of visual art, my desire to seek answers and improve upon things I loved was always present. My aspirations to become a visual artist were ignited by the positive feedback I received from my classmates when I shared cartoons that I had traced from my cousin's textbooks. However, my passion intensified when I discovered the works of renowned visual artists at the Oba Akisua King's Square in Benin City. The lifelike portraits of famous figures that I encountered there inspired me to take my art more seriously and focus on drawing familiar faces. During my senior secondary school exams, I once drew the external supervisors on the back of my question paper. This caught the attention of my principal, who was so impressed that she commissioned me to create another piece of art. As a result, my popularity soared instantly. Following my experience in secondary school, I decided to pursue my passion for art and industrial design by enrolling at the Federal Polytechnic of Auchi. Although I had hoped that the curriculum would include more music-related coursework, I ultimately embraced visual art and have never looked back since. To this day, I am committed to creating impactful art pieces and cannot imagine pursuing any other career path. My desire for creative expression and a balanced state of mind led me to pursue art as a medium. While my creative journey began with music, it became more vivid and meaningful when I discovered visual art.
