Blood has a strong passion for activities designed to enhance the international and intercultural experiences of people. This commitment to international concerns is reflected in her art and throughout her professional career. For over thirty years, Blood has been the spokesperson for the international abroad programs. In 2011, Blood was selected by US Department of State to serve as a diplomat to network with educational colleagues and artists in Liberia.
As a consultant and lecturer, she has participated in workshops at Obafemi Awolowo University, LLE-Ife, Nigeria, University of Costa Rica, Pedro, Costa Rica and Jiujiang and Shanghai Teacher’s University in China.
As a professional artists, Blood has exhibited throughout the US, India, China, and Africa. Her work has been selected and exhibited in over ten (10) US embassies; she was selected for the 2023 Intercontinental Bienal; and she is co-founder of the second oldest black artist organization in the USA, the National of Alliance of Artists from Historical Black Colleges and Universities.
