Silvia Canton was born in Conegliano (TV) in 1974.

 She graduated from the Liceo Artistico and then from Rome’s Fine Arts Academy. She lives and works in Castelfranco Veneto. Her passion for design, which has accompanied her since she was a child, resulted in her working for many years alongside the well-known costume designer, Odette Nicoletti. In Rome and then in Venice, experience acquired working alongside  professionals of the theatre and cinema, including the director Ettore Scola, helped refine her art and training, allowing  her to work with great attention to details in different projects.

 Painting

In her quest the Nature is the most inspiring poetic source. Natural elements often become symbols concealed in the game of allusions and so a  blade of grass on the water , transported by the current, becomes a tired soul at the mercy of events… a red dot outside the nest becomes the symbol of existence and its destiny  where  … the end or beginning…it depends on the moment of the action, to underline the relativity of every event.  Everything is dynamic, everything is in changing… like a reflection on the water’s surface that never again it  will be copied.
