Sofia Cruz (Mexico City, 1989). Visual artist, she studied at the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving "La Esmeralda" in Mexico city and is currently completing her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts of Vienna.

Her work has the finally to cause some movement or other subtle shock or offender may be, bording seduction from death, longing, desire by some media like painting, installation and video.

Individually she has exposed: The said of a thing at  The Gallery by the  National Center of Arts  (2012, Mexico city), Ravischment at  Cultural Center "Futurama"  (2012, Mexico City), Spaces in confrontation at he Gallery of the Legislative Assembly of Mexico City and Hecatombe + seducere at the National Center of Arts (2010, Mexico DF).

Also she has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including Art40 at the National Museum of Art  (2011, Mexico City), In all respects at the Gallery of the Alliance Française (2011, Mexico city), Art40 at the gallery of the Library "Biblioteca Vasconcelos" (2009, Mexico City) and Traces dissidents in  Mala Fama Gallery (2009, Mexico, Morelia, Michoacan).

In 2011 she won honorable mention in the competition of contemporary art magazine Dossier Give the senses in the drawing category and in 2010 participated in the sample of a video in a multimedia project of Peter Carpenter in Ex Teresa "contemporary art".
