Tom Levy BIO
A wide range of subjects and interests offers variety in style, concept and media in this work. From dreamy images of the real, to surreal images of the real. A pure and sometimes obsessive fascination of art. “My recent work has been oil paintings on glass, which I am really excited about as it has allowed for more freedom in my working style.” Primarily he classes himself as a painter/ sculptor but Tom has been known to perform, write and create installation art.
Tom Levy has spent his life making art, it’s something he has always done and always will do. After completing A level study in a lost college in southern England Tom felt compelled to leave the country. At 18 Tom went to the Cyprus college of Art for two years and returned with a Foundation degree in Art and a 1st year BA in Fine Art, along with much valuable experience. This lead Tom to Goldsmiths University in London, where he completed a three year BA in Fine Art and History of art.
Recently Tom was given an honorary fellowship at the Cyprus College of Art and now continues to live and work in London but makes trips back to the Island from time to time. Recently Tom started his own arts company “Annulus Art” which strives to provide jobs for young artists and platforms for exhibitions.
He is currently curating the latest Annulus show to take place in Trafalgar square St Martin in the Fields crypt gallery.
