Tomasz Robakowski paints intuitively, blending spontaneity with the search for hidden forms in splashes of color. His work revolves around afterimages, insects, and playful associations.
For years, he painted for himself, until he decided to step into the light and deepen his knowledge at the Academy of Fine Arts. He experiments with acrylic, mixed media, markers, and watercolor pencils, drawing inspiration from his surroundings and accidental shapes.
He is the author of "Aftersects", where insects transform into surreal afterimages, and "The Clouds Atlas", a series based on discovering familiar forms in abstract stains.
Can a name define an artist’s work? Robakowski—a name rooted in the world of insects—seems to lead his art on its own path.
